Call for Posters and Demonstrations

The International Conference on Embedded Wireless Systems and Networks (EWSN) is a highly selective single-track international conference that delves into the latest research on embedded systems and wireless networking. These are key enablers for scenarios such as the Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems.

Presenting a poster or a demo at EWSN is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your research in a highly interactive and hands-on manner. The poster session is a forum for you to present ongoing work and receive early feedback from peers. The demo session allows you to showcase real prototypes and systems.

EWSN 2025 invites poster and demo submissions. Topics of interest include but are not limited to those of the EWSN’25 Call for Papers.

This year again, the best poster and the best demo award will be granted with € 250 each.

Submission instructions. The poster and demo co-chairs will review and evaluate each submission based on its quality and potential to stimulate lively discussions during the conference.

• Format: Submit a 2-page abstract using the standard ACM SIG Proceedings template (https://www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/association-for-computing-machinery-acm-sig-proceedings-template/bmvfhcdnxfty). Submissions should be formatted to an 8.5″ x 11″ (letter) two-column layout with 10-point font and no copyright block. Note that keywords and categories are only mandatory in the camera-ready, which will be allowed to use a 9pt font. Demo abstracts can use an additional page exclusively to describe the setup requirements.

• Title: The abstracts’ title must be prepended with "Poster: " or "Demo: " as applicable.

• Anonymity: all submissions should not be anonymized, i.e., your submission should include all authors' names, affiliations, and contact details.

On-site poster and demo session process. The organization of the poster and demo session during the conference embraces two major aspects:

• One-minute madness: The poster and demo displays will be preceded by a quick introductory session. This is intended to pitch your poster/demo and intrigue the audience to visit your stand. The organizers will contact the accepted poster and demo authors before the event to organize this session.

• Presentation: Authors of accepted posters will be asked to bring their printed poster ot the conference. The display of posters and demos is restricted to the dedicated session.

Submission portal. Posters and demo abstracts are submitted using HotCRP on https://ewsn25postersdemo.hotcrp.com.

Publication. Accepted poster and demo abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and indexed in the ACM Digital Library.

• Posters and Demos session at EWSN 2025: 23 September 2025

This call encourages a wide range of contributions, particularly welcoming early-stage work from students and supplementary materials from authors of full papers (accepted or otherwise).
