Call for Journal Article Presentations

The 22nd International Conference on Embedded Wireless Systems and Networks (EWSN) has partnered with prestigious journals in the field of CPS-IoT to feature selected journal articles as part of the main conference program. The authors of recently published or accepted articles in these journals are invited to present their work at EWSN 2025. This initiative aims to broaden the visibility of archival research while enriching the technical program offered to EWSN attendees. 

The journals that are currently part of this agreement with EWSN 2025 are:

• ACM Transactions on Internet of Things (TIOT)

• ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks (TOSN)

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for journal presentation at EWSN 2025, an article must:

• Have been published in or accepted by one of the journals listed above no earlier than 24 months before the submission deadline; 

• Fall within the scope of EWSN, as described in the Call for Papers (https://www.ewsn25.cs.kuleuven.be/calls/call-for-papers);

• Present novel research results or significantly extend prior work; 

• Not have been presented at, or be under consideration for, similar journal presentation tracks at other conferences, workshops, or symposia. 

How to Submit

Authors of eligible articles may apply to present at EWSN 2025 through HotCRP at https://ewsn25journal.hotcrp.com/. Submissions must include:

• Title, authors and affiliations, and article abstract; 

• A PDF of the published article, or a PDF of the recently accepted article (if unpublished) with the acceptance notification appended; 

• A brief statement on how the article meets the eligibility criteria.

Selection Process

Since eligible articles have already undergone peer review by the partner journals, no further technical review will be conducted. Submissions will be evaluated based on the eligibility criteria. If the number of eligible submissions exceeds available slots in the program, preference will be given to:

• Articles closely aligned with the EWSN scope;

• Contributions that complement the conference program;

• Work by authors not already presenting elsewhere in the conference;

• Articles that are not direct extensions of work previously presented at EWSN or closely related venues.

Presentation, Attendance, and Publication

At least one author of each selected article must register for and attend EWSN 2025 to present the work. Presentations will be part of the regular main conference sessions and grouped by topic alongside accepted conference papers.

Journal articles will not be included in the EWSN proceedings, as they are already published. However, information about the original publication will be listed in the official conference program and on the website.

• Author Notification: July 21, 2025
